During my senior year, I took a 3 credit Macroeconomics course at Oakland Community College, which was taught by Dr. Ishita Nandi. Macroeconomics is important because it aggregates economic activity to the national level to analyze trends and fluctuations in overall economic activity. Topics I learned from ECON 2610 included national income, price and employment determination, the mechanics of money, banking, credit creation, business cycles, and fiscal/monetary policy.
